How to Choose a Round Column

In additions to the dimensions, here are the style details you want to consider when you choose one of our round fiberglass-reinforced polymer (FRP) columns:

Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) or Finger-Jointed Pine: We think that the FRP columns give you the best bang for the buck. They're strong and durable. Finger-Jointed Pine columns are also available.

Tapered or Non-Tapered: Tapered columns are less expensive and they look better, too, because they're closer to the classical form. Non-tapered columns tend to look wider at the top. The Greeks and Romans tapered columns to counteract this effect.

Plain or fluted: Plain columns are less expensive. Fluted columns columns have a more formal elegance.

Caps and Bases: We offer several types of caps and bases for our round FRP columns.
